Yet another movie adaptation of a romance novel by Nicholas Sparks, The Last Song bowed on DVD and Blu-ray on Aug. 17, 2010.
Sparks’ adaptation Dear John arrived on DVD and Blu-ray on May 25, 2010.
In The Last Song, Hannah Montana‘s Miley Cyrus stars as the daughter of estranged father Greg Kinnear (Green Zone). One summer, as the two try to build a relationship again, Cyrus falls for a boy, played by Liam Hemsworth (Knowing). Bobby Coleman (Martian Child) and Kelly Preston (Old Dogs) also star.
Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment‘s movie grossed $61.6 million in theaters.
Priced at $29.99 on DVD and $39.99 for the Blu-ray/DVD combo pack, the film comes with plenty of extras, especially bonuses starring Cyrus.
Both the DVD and Blu-ray include:
- “Set Tour With Bobby Coleman,” in which the 8-year-old up-and-coming star interviews Adam Shankman and Cyrus’ security team.
- music video for Cyrus’ “When I Look at You”
- and making-of featurette for “When I Look at You” video.
The Blu-ray/DVD combo pack has these exclusive bonuses:
- alternate opening sequence with optional commentary by director Julie Ann Robinson
- five deleted scenes
