News: Emmy Award winners on DVD

Sitcom Modern Family, drama Mad Men and TV movie Temple Grandin were big winners at the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences 62nd Primetime Emmy Awards ceremony last night.

All of the winners are already on DVD and/or Blu-ray or coming soon. Here’s the dish:

Mad Men season three was released on DVD and Blu-ray in March. Won Best Drama Series and Outstanding Writing for a Drama Series.

Modern Family season one will be released on DVD and Blu-ray on Sept. 21. Won Best Comedy Series, Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy Eric Stonestreet and Outstanding Writing for a Comedy.

Glee season one will be on DVD and Blu-ray on Sept. 14. Won Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy Jane Lynch and Outstanding Directing for that category.

The Big Bang Theory season three will be on DVD and Blu-ray on Sept. 14. Won Best Actor in a Comedy Jim Parsons.

The Good Wife season one will be on DVD on Sept. 14. Won Best Supporting Actress in a Drama Archie Panjabi.

Dexter season four was released on DVD and Blu-ray earlier this month. Won Outstanding Directing for a Drama Series.

Nurse Jackie season one was released on DVD and Blu-ray in February. Won Best Actress in a Comedy Edie Falco.

The Closer season five was released on DVD in June. Won Best Actress in a Drama Kyra Sedgwick.

Breaking Bad season two was released on DVD and Blu-ray in March. Won Best Actor in a Drama Bryan Cranston and Best Supporting Actor in a Drama Aaron Paul.

Temple Grandin was released on DVD earlier this month. Won Best Made for Television Movie, Best Actress in a Miniseries or Movie Claire Danes, Outstanding Supporting Actress Julia Ormond, Best Supporting Actor David Strathairn and Outstanding Directing for that category. You Don’t Know Jack will be released on DVD on Oct. 26. Won Best Actor for a Miniseries, Movie or Dramatic Special Al Pacino and Outstanding Writing for that category.

The Pacific will be released on DVD and Blu-ray on Nov. 2. Won Outstanding Miniseries.
