New Release: The Phantom DVD and Blu-ray

The Phantom mini-series sceneSyFy Channel’s mini-series The Phantom, based on the 1930s comic strip by Lee Falk, arrived on DVD and Blu-ray on Sept. 7, 2010, from Vivendi Entertainment and RHI Entertainment.

Desperate Housewives‘ Ryan Carnes stars as young law student Kit Walker, who is recruited by a secret organization and discovers he’s the 21st “ghost who walks.” He has a destiny to fight crime and injustice throughout the world, and to get the best of high-tech savvy criminals, Walker must be trained and disciplined to become the Phantom.

The television mini-series also stars Isabella Rossellini (Infamous) and Cameron Goodman (Rise).

Both the DVD and Blu-ray include an interview with director Paolo Barzman and Carnes.

The DVD was priced at $19.93, with the Blu-ray at $24.99.
