New Release: Dear Mr. Gacy Blu-ray and DVD

Anchor Bay premiered the fact-based drama Dear Mr. Gacy on Blu-ray and DVD on Dec. 14, 2010, for the suggested retail prices of $29.99 and $26.98, respectively.

Based on the best-selling 1999 book The Last Victim by Jason Moss (with Jeffrey Kottler, M.D.), the independent film recounts the experiences of 18-year-old college student Jason Moss (played by Jesse Moss, no relation) and his relationship with the notorious serial killer John Wayne Gacy, portrayed in the movie by the always-game William Forsythe (The Devil’s Rejects).

As part of a school assignment, Moss sends a letter to Gacy in prison, portraying himself as a vulnerable kid. Suspicious at first, Gacy subjects Moss to a series of tests before eventually trusting him. What follows is a psychological game of cat and mouse between two manipulators, in which Moss’ life is turned upside down. And when Gacy sends an invitation to visit him in prison for a private meeting, Jason accepts. Nobody could have ever predicted what would unfold inside the maximum security cell…

The Blu-ray and DVD of Dear Mr. Gacy include a behind-the-scenes featurette along with teaser and theatrical trailers.
