New Release: Easy A DVD and Blu-ray

Easy A movie scene with Emma StoneTeen comedy Easy A, starring Superbad‘s Emma Stone, was released on DVD and Blu-ray on Dec. 21, 2010, from Sony Pictures Home Entertainment.

In the movie, Stone plays a high schooler whose life changes when a lie about her losing her virginity gets out. Seeing her life paralleling Hester Prynne’s in The Scarlet Letter, which she’s studying in school, Stone decides to use the rumor mill to advance her social and financial standing. The critically acclaimed film also stars Amanda Bynes (Hairspray), Penn Badgley (TV’s Gossip Girl), Alyson Michalka (TV’s Hellcats) and Cam Gigandet (Twilight) and features supporting performances by Thomas Haden Church (Spider-Man 3), Patricia Clarkson (Shutter Island), Lisa Kudrow (TV’s Friends) and Stanley Tucci (Julie & Julia).

Easy A grossed $56 million in theaters.
