Is someone coming between Denise Richards and Jim Belushi in Cougars, Inc.?
Lionsgate released the sexy comedy Cougars, Inc., starring Jim Belushi (The Ghost Writer), Denise Richards (Deep in the Valley), Kathryn Morris (TV’s Cold Case) and Sarah Hyland (TV’s Modern Family), on Blu-ray
Love, sex and tuition come together in the movie, which revolves around a student (Kyle Gallner, Jennifer’s Body) who steps up to help his mother pay for his education when times are tough. Along with his friends, Sam launches the escort service “Cougars, Inc.”
According to the press release for the independent film, said escort service “allows a generation of women trying to hold onto their youth a second chance at love.”
Really, that’s what the release says.
Weren’t “Cougars” the hot stuff for straight-to-DVD movies a couple of years back? Cougar School, Cougar Club and Cougar 101 aside — not to mention TV’s Cougar Town! — we’re wondering how much more material can be mined from the Maxim Magazine-esque subject?
According to the MPAA, the R-rated Cougars, Inc. contains “sexual content, nudity, language and drug use — all involving teens,” so there’s bound to be something in there to keep viewers interested.
Written and directed by K. Asher Levin (his first feature), the Blu-ray and DVD carry the list prices of $29.99 and $26.98, respectively.
Bonus features include a featurette and a cast/crew commentary.
