New Release: Ghost in the Shell Blu-ray

Three favorite titles from the best-selling Ghost in the Shell anime series — Solid State Society, Laughing Man and Individual Eleven — were released on Blu-ray disc for the first time on June 21, 2011. Coming from Anchor Bay and anime labels Manga and Bandai, each title carries a suggested retail price of $34.98.

Laughing Man is one of the Ghost in the Shell anime titles coming to Blu-ray.

Ghost in the Shell: Solid State Society Blu-ray (2006)
Public Security Section 9 investigates the hacker and discovers a complex conspiracy involving a crippled senior citizen program, a zealous right-wing politician, and a corrupt civil service bureaucracy.

Ghost in the Shell: Laughing Man Blu-ray (2005)
New information is revealed to Japan’s top homeland security force, drawing Major Kusanagi and Section 9 into the hunt for a suspect capable of hacking the eyes of every operative, obscuring all detail of his appearance and leaving behind a trail of copycats and hacked cyborg citizens.

Ghost in the Shell: Individual Eleven Blu-ray (2005)
The year is 2030, and an influx of refugees have effortlessly transformed themselves into a terrorist organization known as the “Individual Eleven.” With a sadistic intent of mass destruction, will they triumph in victory or discover the gloomy pitfalls of defeat?

Each of the titles are digitally enhanced and feature reworked scenes.
