News: Spielberg confirms Jaws Blu-ray is in the works!

Guess what's coming to Blu-ray?

A Blu-ray edition of a little 1975 movie named Jaws is in the works, according a guy frequently associated with the film by the name of Steven Spielberg.

This news comes to us via an interview with Spielberg conducted by the good people at Ain’t It Cool News.

In the interview, Spielberg says the Jaws Blu-ray is indeed being working on — we’re assuming that it’s a Universal release — and that he has “already seen some of it.”

Additionally, Spielberg says there will be “no more digital enhancements or digital additions to anything based on any film I direct.”

In other words, we’re assuming that the Blu-ray edition of Jaws won’t have any computerized sharks or any other screen images that have been altered, save for the sparkle of the remastering and transfer process!
