Only in America with Larry the Cable Guy: Volume One sceneBroadcast on cable TV’s History Channel, Only in America With Larry the Cable Guy: Volume One is a collection of installments from the superstar comedian’s 2011 comedy-reality television series.

The show follows the ever-mouthy and none-too-subtle Larry as he crisscrosses the nation — frequently off the beaten track — to find the people, places and things that define the unique and often unspoken history of the United States.

Over the course of the 10 hour-long episodes in this disc, Larry makes his way from Delaware to California, delivering some fascinating if strange tales and tidbits. Some of Larry’s adventures find him taking a hearty look at moonshine-making during Prohibition, Emily Post’s rules of etiquette, the days of panning for gold in the hills of California, and even the mounting of Civil War reenactments in Virginia.

No bonus features are on the two-disc DVD set, which has a six-hour-plus running time.
