Contest: Win Scarface on Blu-ray

The contest is over. Chosen by Random.org, the winners are Bryan Tremblay and Kim Kelly. Congratulations! Please email your mailing address to lhlerman@gmail.com to claim your prize.

And make sure you enter our other contests.

Scarface! Directed by Brian De Palma (Dressed to Kill) and starring Al Pacino (Carlito’s Way), the movie that’s everyone’s favorite cocaine-drenched guilty pleasure made its Blu-ray debut on Sept. 6. And Universal Studios Home Entertainment has given Disc Dish two copies of the Scarface Limited Edition Blu-ray Steelbox to give away to a pair of lucky readers!

The contest giveaway will give readers a chance to check out the winners of Universal’s National Fan Art Contest, wherein fans created Scarface-inspired artwork using classic Tony Montana images from the film. Universal selected the top 25 based on creativity, originality and quality, and then 10 fan favorites were included as exclusive art cards in the Scarface Limited Edition Blu-ray.

The Blu-ray also includes plenty of special features. (Read our review.)

This movie on Blu-ray is priced at $34.98, but you can enter to win a copy of the Blu-ray at Disc Dish. All you have to do is:

Scarface Blu-ray box1. If you don’t already, Like Disc Dish on Facebook, Follow Disc Dish on Twitter or subscribe to Disc Dish by email (see the box on the right), then leave a comment on this page saying whether you’re a Facebook or Twitter fan or email subscriber. That gives you one entry. If you only do this step, you’re entered, but keep reading for more chances to win.

2. Link to this page from your Facebook profile, Twitter account, Digg, Reddit.com, blog or wherever you hang out online and put a link to it in the comments on this page. You’ll get an extra entry for each link. (Sorry, but links added to the Disc Dish Facebook page don’t count.)

3. Repeat steps 1 and 2 every day for even more chances to win.

And if you’re game, tell us your favorite line of Scarface dialog! As the movie was written by Oliver Stone (Platoon), we’re assuming your choice will be colorful, bigger-than-life and maybe a bit dirty! My favorite is one that Tony says to the corrupt cop (played by Harris Yulin) right before he kills him: “Every dog has his day, huh, Mel?”

This giveaway runs through midnight, Tuesday, Sept. 27, and the winner will be chosen by Random.org and announced here on Sept. 28. So, make sure you check back to see if you won. NOTE: The contest is only open to readers who are 18 or older and in the U.S.
