Lucky movie scene

A colorful Ari Graynor sees something profitable in Colin Hanks in Lucky.

The comedy thriller film Lucky, starring Colin Hanks (The House Bunny) and Ari Graynor (Whip it), is a genre cauldron filled with such ingredients as love, money, infidelity and serial killing.

After Ben (Hanks) wins the lottery, Lucy (Graynor), his childhood crush, suddenly becomes obtainable. But she has a hidden agenda — a desire to appropriate all of Ben’s newly found wealth

Not everything is as it seems, and Lucy realizes that she may have married into more than she bargained for when she discovers Ben’s pastimes include the occasional murder. As the bodies start to pile up, so do her problems, and Lucy quickly appreciates that covering up for a fledgling serial killer is not as easy one would think!

Directed by Gil Cates, Jr. (Deal) and co-starring Jeffrey Tambor (Win Win), Ann-Margret (Grumpy Old Men) and Mimi Rogers (Abandoned), the movie received a limited release to theaters in July 2011. It didn’t ignite any sparks at the box office, nor in the minds of many critics.

Bonus features include the following:

  • director’s audio commentary
  • deleted scenes
  • making-of featurette
