Batman: The Dark Knight ReturnsBatman is 55 years old and partners with a female Robin in the DC Universe original animated movie Batman: The Dark Knight Returns Part 1.

Rated PG-13, the film shows the aging Batman returning from retirement and donning his cape and cowl to battle new criminals trying take over Gotham City.

Batman: The Dark Knight Returns was directed by Jay Oliva, the helmer of the animated Green Lantern: Emerald Knights. Part 2, also directed by Oliva, arrives in 2013.

The voice cast includes Ariel Winter (TV’s Modern Family) as the new Robin, Carrie Kelley; Peter Weller (Robocop) as Batman; as well as Michael McKean (Spinal Tap).

The Blu-ray contains these special features:
