Burning ManUp and coming British actor Matthew Goode (Leap Year) stars in the acclaimed Australian movie Burning Man.

Written and directed by Jonathan Teplitzky (Better Than Sex), Burning Man tells the story of Tom (Goode), an English chef at a chic restaurant with a beautiful wife (Bojana Novakovic, Drag Me to Hell) and son. After a tragedy, Tom’s life falls apart and he turns to a series of sexual encounters with different woman to drown out his sorrows, neglecting his family and endangering his job.

The drama, which isn’t rated, also stars Rachel Griffiths (TV’s Brothers & Sisters), Essie Davis (The Matrix Revolutions) and Kerry Fox (Shallow Grave).

Burning Man was not screened in theaters in the U.S., so the DVD represents the film’s Stateside premiere.

Still, critics who did see the movie praised it. New York Times‘ Andy Webster said, “Foodies looking for a good cry, bon appetit.”
