Party clown Ross Noble gets his murderous point across in Stitches.

Popular British standup comedian Ross Noble stars as a murderous kids’ birthday party clown in the 2012 Irish comedy horror film Stitches.

Years after a cruel kids’ prank during a birthday party for 8-year-old Tommy (Tommy Knight, TV’s Doctor Who) left hired clown Richard “Stitches” Grindle (Ross Noble) dead on the kitchen floor, the childhood friends gather to plan a birthday bash to end all bashes. But they haven’t counted on the degenerate jester rising from the grave to seek vengeance on the children who mocked him and caused his grisly, untimely end. And “Stitches” ain’t fooling around as he use every trick in the clown book (and many that aren’t) to exact his revenge.

Directed by Conor McMahon (Dead Meat), the R-rated Stitches premieres in U.S. theaters on April 1, 2013 with special April Fools’ Day screenings in select cities. And it’ll be available for everyone the very next day…!

For what it’s worth, Stitches was award the Best Death Scene prize at England’s Fright Fest in August, 2012. We hear the slaying involves the clown creating a fatal balloon animal from materials that are decidedly not balloons!
