Evil Dead follows the same cue as its predecessor: A secluded cabin. An ancient curse. An unrelenting evil. Five young friends find the mysterious and fiercely powerful Book of the Dead and, unable to resist its temptation, release a violent demon on a blood-thirsty quest to possess them all. Who will be left to fight for their survival and defeat this unearthly force of murderous carnage?

Directed and co-written by Fede Alvarez, the film’s ensemble cast includes Jane Levy (TV’s Suburgatory), Shiloh Fernandez (Red Riding Hood), Lou Taylor Pucci (The Music Never Stopped), Jessica Lucas (Cloverfield) and Elizabeth Blackmore (Legend of the Seeker).

Evil Dead opened wide in theaters in April, 2013 to positive notices from horror movie fans and critics, leading to an impressive $55 million take at the domestic box office.
