Sally Field is Norma Rae.

Sally Field (Lincoln) won an Academy Award for Best Actress  in the 1979 film drama Norma Rae.

Field portrays the titular Norma Rae, a Southern millworker who revolutionizes a small town and discovers a power in herself she never knew she had. Under the guidance of a New York unionizer (Ron Leibman, A Little Help) and with increasing courage and determination, Norma Rae organizes her fellow factory workers to fight for better conditions and wages.

Based on a true story and co-starring Beau Bridges, Norma Rae was directed by Martin Ritt (The Front).
