Colin Firth gets the job done in Kingsman

Matthew Vaughn, director of Kick-Ass and X-Men: First Class brings his stylized sense of action and adventure to the world of espionage in Kingsman: The Secret Service, starring Colin Firth (The King’s Speech), Samuel Jackson (Marvel’s The Avengers), Michael Caine (Interstellar) and newcomer Taron Egerton.

The loose story revolves around a super-duper spy organization that recruits an unrefined, but promising street kid (Egerton) into the agency’s ultra-competitive training program, just as a global threat emerges from a twisted tech genius.

Released wide to theaters in the U.S. in February, 2015, Kingsman grossed a solid $125 million at the domestic box office, while critics admitted that the film had a handsome if frantically edited look.
