A destiny-changing letter sends an aging rock star on a transformative journey in the music-filled comedy-drama Danny Collins starring Al Pacino (Scarface).

After a lifetime at the top of the music charts, Collins just can’t give up his hard-living ways. But when he receives a never-delivered letter written to him 40 years earlier by John Lennon urging him to stay true to his heart, Danny embarks on a quest to try to rediscover his family, his talent and the love he abandoned on his way to success.

Inspired by a true story, Danny Collins is written and directed by Dan Fogelman (Crazy Stupid Love). Also in the cast are Annette Bening (The Kids Are All Right), Jennifer Garner (Dallas Buyers Club), Bobby Cannavale (Blue Jasmine) and Christopher Plummer (The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo).

Positively received by critics upon its limited release to theaters in April, 2015, the film went on to ring up a domestic gross of $5.4 million.
