Sofia and Reese slow down for a minute in Hot Pursuit.
The 2015 action crime comedy Hot Pursuit stars the always-spunky Reese Witherspoon (Wild) and the always-hot Sofía Vergara (Chef, TV’s Modern Family).
In the film, an uptight, by-the-book cop (Witherspoon) tries to protect the sexy and outgoing widow (Vergara) of a drug boss as they race through Texas, pursued by crooked cops and murderous gunmen. Yup, that’s pretty much the plot…
Directed by Anne Fletcher (The Guilt Trip) from a screenplay by David Feeney and John Quaintance, the film also stars John Carroll Lynch (Crazy, Stupid, Love) and Robert Kazinsky (Pacific Rim).
The critics were none too kind to Hot Pursuit, with the film garnering an awful 8% rating at Rotten Tomatoes based on 128 published reviews. Audiences weren’t that generous either—the movie has grossed only $35 million at the domestic box office since its wide release in early May.
