Cable channel Starz’ television adaptation of author Diana Gabaldon’s international best-selling book series, Outlander: Season Two continues to wow’em! The science-fiction – romance series is still claiming record-breaking audience numbers and continues to be one of Starz’ most popular series. Not a surprise, since the novels have sold more than 26 million copies worldwide.

outlander-season-2_optOutlander stars Caitriona Balfe (Super 8) as Claire Randall, a married combat nurse who, in 1946, mysteriously gets whisked back to 1743. Thrown into an unknown world where her life is threatened, Claire’s forced to marry the chivalrous and romantic Scottish warrior Jamie (Sam Heughan, A Princess for Christmas). Their passionate affair splits Claire’s heart between two very different men in two irreconcilable lives.

In Season Two, Claire and Jamie arrive in France, hell‐bent on infiltrating the Jacobite rebellion led by Prince Charles Stuart (Andrew Gower) and stopping the battle of Culloden. With the help of Jamie’s cousin Jared (Robert Cavanah), they are thrown into the lavish world of French society, where intrigue and parties are abundant but political gain proves far less fruitful. Altering the course of history presents all sorts of challenges…!
