Blu-ray & DVD Release Date: Nov. 14, 2017
Price: DVD $13.99, Blu-ray $19.99
Studio: Kino Lorber

Kino Lorber continues to issue gorgeous new editions (most featuring a 4K restoration) of poverty row B flicks from the Forties and Fifties.

This time around, it’s the 1958 Republic Pictures film noir The Man Who Died Twice, starring Rod Cameron, Vera Ralston and everyone’s favorite tough guy Mike Mazurki (Dark City).

In this one, a nightclub singer (Ralston) becomes mixed up in illegal drug dealings and the mob shortly after witnessing her husband’s supposed death and the murder of a couple of narcotics agents.

Republic Pictures veteran Joseph Kane (Dakota) directed, the glorious shot in black-and-white and widescreen cinematography comes courtesy of Jack A. Marta (Framed, Duel), and the screenplay is by Richard C. Sarafian (Vanishing Point).

Blu-ray and DVD extras on the crime drama’s discs include an audio commentary by film historian Toby Roan and a collection of trailers.
