Tommy Wiseau and Greg Sestero, the stars of the cult flick The Room (the inspiration behind 2017’s The Disaster Artist) return to the screen after 15 years in the comedy thriller Best F[r]iends: Volumes One + Two.

In the film, which has also been described as a black comedy, an unlikely business partnership forms between a drifter (Sestero) and a quirky mortician (Wiseau), paranoia soon develops and both men are forced to come to terms with the fragility of friendship and loyalty, not to mention a sense of creeping paranoia. Their tale takes them out to the Arizoa desert, where they encounter a gang of desperate, deadly characters.

Best F[r]iends spotlights the work of newcomer director and co-cinematographer Justin MacGregor.
