The 1965 comedy musical How to Stuff a Wild Bikini stars—you got it Frankie Avalon (Skidoo) and Annette Funicello.

This time around, the swinging, surfing and singing Frankie (Avalon) is serving naval reserve duty in Tahiti and is thus separated from his beach bunny, Dee Dee (Funicello). Frankie, fearing that Dee Dee might be having as much fun as he is in his tropical paradise, enlists the help of the local island witch doctor, Bwana (Buster Keaton, The General) to keep an eye on what’s going on back home. And what’s going on back home is that suave advertising executive, Ricky (Dwayne Hickman, Cat Ballou) has his sights set on Dee Dee…and Dee Dee might just be receptive to his advances!

The final “beach” film directed by William Asher (Bikini Beach, Beach Blanket Bingo, Muscle Beach Party and TV’s Bewitched), not to mention the final appearances of Frankie Avalon and Annette Funicello as Frankie and Dee Dee (until the 1987 homage Back to the Beach), Wild Bikini also features Harvey Lembeck (Love with the Proper Stranger), Mike (Michael Nadar, TV’s Dynasty), Brian Donlevy (Cowboy) and Mickey Rooney (Breakfast at Tiffany’s).
