Blu-ray Release: Behold a Pale Horse

Blu-ray Release Date: July 16, 2019
Price: Blu-ray $29.95
Studio: Twilight Time

From producer/director Fred Zinnemann (A Man For All Seasons) comes Behold a Pale Horse (1964), a somber yet harrowingly suspenseful thriller of personal conviction in the face of political repression, set against the backdrop of the dark decades following the 1936-1939 Spanish Civil War.

In charismatic and charged performances, Gregory Peck (To Kill a Mockingbird) plays an exiled guerrilla fighter, Anthony Quinn (The River’s Edge) is the dogged police chief who lays a trap to catch him, and Omar Sharif (Che!) portrays a priest who intervenes to prevent the antagonists’ inevitable confrontation.

Starkly photographed on French locations by Jean Badal, and powerfully scored by three-time Academy Award winner Maurice Jarre (Lawrence of Arabia).

The sole bonus feature on this Twilight Time release is an original theatrical trailer.

As supplier Twilight Time prints up only 3,000 copies of each title, be sure to head over to the Twilight Time site or that of distributor Screen Archives NOW so you can put in your order!
