The supernatural thriller Umma, which is the Korean word for “mother,” follows Amanda (Sandra Oh, Rabbit Hole) and her daughter (Fivel Stewart), who are living a quiet life on an American farm. When the remains of Amanda’s estranged mother arrive from Korea, Amanda becomes haunted by the fear of turning into her.

Written and directed by Iris K. Shim and co-produced by horror king Sam Raimi, the film also features MeeWha Alana Lee, Tom Yi and Dermot Mulroney.
