From the creators Alfred Gough and Miles Millar (TV’s Smallville) and director Tim Burton ((Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Frankenweenie), Wednesday, the hit TV series based on Wednesday Addams of the iconic Addams family, arrives this week!

Wednesday: Season 1 is a sleuthing, supernaturally infused mystery charting Wednesday Addams’ years as a student at Nevermore Academy. Wednesday’s attempts to master her emerging psychic ability, thwart a monstrous killing spree that has terrorized the local town and solve the supernatural mystery that embroiled her parents 25 years ago — all while navigating her new and very tangled relationships at Nevermore.

The series stars Jenna Ortega (Scream VI) as Wednesday, Gwendoline Christie (Game of Thrones) as Principal Larissa Weems and  Jamie McShane as Sheriff Donovan Galpin. Guest stars include Catherine Zeta-Jones as Morticia Addams, Luis Guzmán as Gomez Addams, Isaac Ordonez as Pugsley Addams, and Fred Armisen as Uncle Fester.

The critically-acclaimed 8-episode series received 12 Emmy nominations in 2023 including Outstanding Comedy Series and Outstanding Lead Actress In A Comedy Series for Jenna Ortega who became the second youngest woman to ever be nominated in the category and the third Latina following Rita Moreno and America Ferrera.
