New Release: Please Give DVD and Blu-ray

Sony Pictures Home Entertainment places human nature under a microscope with Please Give, which debuted on Blu-ray and DVD on Oct. 19, 2010, priced at $34.95 and $28.95, respectively. The positively reviewed comedy/drama movie grossed $4 million during its limited theatrical run last spring.

Written and directed by Nicole Holofcener (Friends With Money, Lovely & Amazing), Please Give stars Catherine Keener (Capote) and Oliver Platt (Frost/Nixon) as Kate and Alex, a couple living in New York with their daughter Abby (Sarah Steele, Spanglish). They decide to take over the apartment next door to ease the growing pressure on their marriage, business and family. When their elderly neighbor Andra (Ann Morgan Guilbert, Grumpier Old Men) and her two granddaughters, Rebecca (Rebecca Hall, Vicky Cristina Barcelona) and Mary (Amanda Peet, 2012) don’t see eye to eye with Kate and Alex, the up-until-then quirky drama/comedy takes an unpredictable turn.

The Blu-ray and will contain the following special features:

  • behind-the-scenes production footage
  • outtakes
  • Nicole Holofcener Q&A clips
  • BD-Live (exclusive to the Blu-ray)
