New Release: And Soon the Darkness DVD and Blu-ray

Anchor Bay Entertainment released the horror thriller And Soon the Darkness on Blu-ray and DVD on Dec. 28, 2010, priced at $34.99 and $26.98, respectively. Anchor Bay Films also issued the independent film theatrically with an exclusive engagement in Los Angeles only on Friday, Dec. 17.

The movie stars hot-actresses-of-the-moment Amber Heard (Zombieland, Pineapple Express) and Odette Yustman (You Again, Cloverfield) as two American girls, Stephanie (Heard) and Ellie (Yustman), on a bike tour through a remote part of Argentina’s countryside. When disaster strikes and Ellie disappears, it’s up to Stephanie to find her before her worst fears are realized. She enlists help from an American (Karl Urban of Star Trek) and they set out on a search that leads Stephanie into more danger.

Helmed by first-time movie director Marcos Efron, And Soon the Darkness also stars Adriana Barraza (Babel) and Gia Mantegna (TV’s Gigantic).

The horror thriller is a remake of a 1970 British movie.

Bonus features on the Blu-ray disc and DVD include the following:

  • audio commentary featuring Efron, editor Todd Miller and cinematographer Gabriel Beristain
  • Director’s Video Diary featuring behind-the-scenes footage from the set
  • and deleted scenes.
