New Release: Conviction DVD and Blu-ray

Conviction movie sceneCritically acclaimed film Conviction, inspired by the real story of a woman’s attempt to save her brother from a life-long prison sentence, was released on DVD and Blu-ray on Feb. 1, 2011, from 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment.

The drama stars two-time Oscar-winner Hilary Swank (Million Dollar Baby) as Betty Ann Waters, a working mother of two who embarks on an 18-year quest to get her brother (Sam Rockwell) out of prison. Waters went so far as to get a law degree to clear her brother, who was convicted of a murder he didn’t commit.

The movie also stars Minnie Driver (Good Will Hunting), Juliette Lewis (Natural Born Killers) and Peter Gallagher (TV’s The OC).

Produced by 20th Century Fox’s independent film label Fox Searchlight, the R-rated Conviction grossed $6 million in a limited run in theaters.

The DVD was priced at $29.98 and Blu-ray at $39.99.

Both include an interview with the real Betty Ann Waters.
