New Release: Looking for Palladin DVD

Looking for Palladin movie scene

Ben Gazzara lives large in Guatemala in Looking for Palladin.

Monterey Video released the 2008 comedy/drama Looking for Palladin on DVD on March 22, 2011.

In the movie, arrogant Hollywood talent agent Josh Ross (David Moscow, Dead Air) is sent to picturesque Guatemala to track down the aging 1960s actor Jack Palladin (Ben Gazzara, Tales of Ordinary Madness) to make him an offer of $1 million to make a cameo in a remake of one of his old films.

Having never met the Oscar-winning performer, Josh’s search is emotionally complicated as the star was once married to his late mother. So Josh isn’t thrilled to be there, just as he’s not too happy with the local community, whose help he desperately needs in order to track down Jack. We sense a humorous, soul-searching journey on the horizon….!

Directed by Andrzej Krakowski (Triumph of the Spirit) and co-starring Talia Shire (The Godfather) and Vincent Pastore (The Basketball Diaries), Looking for Palladin has been enjoying a limited theatrical rollout over the past couple of years to more than 30 cities.

A making-of featurette is included on the DVD, which carries a list price of $26.95.
