New Release: Two and a Half Men Season 1-7 and 8 DVDs

Two and a Half MenLoved Charlie Sheen on Two and a Half Men? Don’t worry, he lives on on DVD, with more coming soon. Warner Home Video released the Two and a Half Men Season 1-7 gift set on April 12, 2011, and Sheen’s last episodes, Two and a Half Men: The Complete Eighth Season, arrived on Sept. 6.

Also starring Jon Cryer (Pretty in Pink) and Angus T. Jones (The Rookie), the television show starred Sheen as a bad-boy jingle writer whose free-wheeling life is thwarted when his brother (Cryer) and nephew (Jones) move into his beach-front house. Sounds like “winning” casting.

Nominated for two Golden Globe awards, Two and a Half Men is now perhaps best known as the TV series Sheen got fired from after his crazed media rants. (Although, we at Disc Dish think Sheen’s actions have an ulterior motive.) But the sitcom had a loyal fanbase before Sheen’s meltdown became big news.

The season 8 DVD set has a list price of $44.98. The boxed set with the first seven seasons was priced at $314.52.

The CBS show has been released in single-season sets and various multiple-season DVD boxed sets, as well as is available on Instant Video.
