New Release: Diary of a Wimpy Kid Rodrick Rules DVD and Blu-ray

Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Rodrick RulesThe second kids movie based on Jeff Kinney‘s popular children’s book series, Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Rodrick Rules arrived on DVD and Blu-ray on June 21, 2011, from 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment.

The PG comedy about sibling rivalry stars Zachary Gordon and Devon Bostick (both returning from the first Wimpy Kid movie) as brothers Greg and Rodrick, who are back in middle school after summer vacation. To try to make them bond, their mom (Rachael Harris, The Hangover) offers them Mom Bucks when they play nice, but their dad (Steve Zahn, TV’s Treme) finds evidence that Rodrick threw a secret party with his band Loded Diper. As the brothers compete for Mom Bucks, they soon discover that joining together helps them get out of trouble.

The film got mixed reviews from critics when it hit theaters in March, but grossed a decent — but less than the original movie — $51 million.
