Cougar Hunting, yet another sexy comedy about a bunch of guys in their 20s and their adventures with women of an older but sexually provocative persuasion, arrived on DVD from Screen Media on Aug. 2, 2011, for a list price of $24.98.
The three young men — played by Matt Prokop (High School Musical 3: Senior Year), Jareb Dauplaise (TV’s The Hard Times of RJ Berger) and Randy Wayne (TV’s The Secret Life of the American Teenager) — head out to Aspen to jump on the cougar cruising train, encountering such lovely ladies who apparently fit the description as Vanessa Angel (Spies Like Us) and Lara Flynn Boyle (TV’s The Practice), as well as the notably younger Jillian Murray (Wild Things: Foursome).
When we reviewed the movie Cougars, Inc., we opined that “Cougars” were fast becoming a stale topic, having been a hot subject for quickie comedies and DVD premiere films a couple of years back. (For examples, check out Cougar Club, Cougars 101 and Cougar School.) We were going to amend our theory until we discovered that Cougar Hunting is a 2009 movie. So, we’re sticking to our guns, though we should note that the independent film a received a largely unnoticed limited release to theaters in April.
The first movie written, directed and produced by Robin Blazak, Cougar Hunting looks like it contains the genre’s appropriate ingredients: silliness, sexiness and raunchiness.
