Joyful NoiseDolly Parton’s (Steel Magnolias) first movie in years, Joyful Noise pairs the country singer with Queen Latifah (The Dilemma).

Parton and Latifah star as leaders of choir that’s heading into a national competition. The problem is, the singers have different ideas about which direction the choir should be going. Ultimately, they have to rely on faith and determination to win.

The musical film also stars Keke Palmer (Akeelah and the Bee), Courtney B. Vance (The Divide) and Kris Kristofferson (Dolphin Tale).

Hated by critics, who gave the movie a 30% approval on Rotten Tomatoes, Joyful Noise was nevertheless loved by its audience, which gave it a 70% rating.

Reportedly made for $11 million, the PG-13 film was a success in theaters with a box-office gross of $30 million.

The Blu-ray/DVD Combo pack comes with a digital copy that’s available for download or instant streaming through UltraViolet, redeemable by May 1, 2014. The set also includes these special features:

  • “Spotlight on a Song: Dolly’s Parton’s ‘From Here to the Moon'”
