Blu-ray 3D details and releases

Blu-ray 3D is the newest home entertainment disc format, offering an upgrade to the old anaglog 3D picture we used to watch with those embarassing red/blue glasses.

With Blu-ray 3D, you get the same stereoscopic picture that’s shown in theaters today. You still have to wear glasses (although they do look slightly cooler), but manufacturers are working on 3D without eyewear. To play Blu-ray 3D at home, you will need a Blu-ray 3D player and a 3D TV. The catalog of movies available on Blu-ray 3D is still limited, but the studios are bringing out new ones all the time. Here’s the list of what’s out on Blu-ray 3D so far and what’s on its way:
