New Release: Leap Year DVD and Blu-ray

Leap Year DVD boxAfter grossing $25.8 million in theaters, Leap Year jumped to DVD and Blu-ray on May 4, 2010.

The movie stars the cute Amy Adams (The Fighter) as a woman who wants to propose to her boyfriend on Feb. 29, an Irish tradition, but then has a time trying to find her boyfriend in Ireland in time for the day

A fun premise, but it apparently fell short for moviegoers, earning 51% by the Rotten Tomatoes community. Still, the movie should be good for a rental. Matthew Goode (A Single Man), Adam Scott (Step Brothers) and John Lithgow (Confessions of a Shopaholic) also star.

Universal Studios Home Entertainment priced the DVD at $29.98 and the Blu-ray at $36.98.

But there’s not much on them other than the movie. Both will offer deleted scenes, and Blu-ray also will have BD-Live access and Universal’s Pocket Blu technology, which turns an iPhone into a remote control.
