The time is perfect for a joke-a-minute parody of Judd Apatow’s body of work, and this one, as the title suggests, takes on just about every title in his credit stack with profane glee. Craig Moss directed from a script by, as the opening credits say, “A White Guy and a Black Guy” and produced by “A Cheap Bastard,” early indications that the jokes are going to be plentiful, and the movie lives up to the build up. It’s a diverting enough guilty pleasure, with the emphasis on the guilt.

Bryan Callen (late of MADtv) takes the Steve Carell/Jason Segel role as the hapless titular virgin with a mind-of-its-own penis (and it’s gigantic!) who goes through a lengthy sequence of disastrous dates before meeting Mircea Monroe (a combination of Elizabeth Banks and Kristen Bell) and falling in love. But not. But she gets pregnant anyway. Long story.

Callen gets useless advice from his curly-haired, thick stoner friend Seth (Stephen Kramer Glickman), as in Rogen (duh!), while occasionally exchanging dialogue with teenagers who are trying to get drunk and laid but keep running into socially-misfit cops. The teens’ names are Jonah (Steve Sims) and McAnalovin’ (Austin Michael Scott) and they look enough like their Apatow avatars to star in the Superbad sequel.

Even the novelty songs are vulgar and amusing, including “Morning Wood,” which accompanies a sequence involving the 41-year-old virgin waking up from a wet dream. And yes, Callen does indeed get the old chest-hair peel, with nauseating results.

Not all the gags work — the protracted sperm-spewing climax is a bit much, as is the copious projectile vomiting — but clunkers are to be expected when the joke ratio is so high. Actually, I would have enjoyed more of the shots taken at the Twilight saga (and as it happens, there’s one in the works by Moss).

Stick with it through the closing credits for a very funny, inventive speculation as to who that Verizon guy is always calling and asking, “Can you hear me now?”

Bonuses include a couple of making-ofs, the teaser that got the film financed by the cheap bastard, and a piece about Sim’s real-life mix-ups with the real Jonah Hill.
