Revenge for JollyThe murder of a dog is at stake in comedy movie Revenge for Jolly.

The film is a starring vehicle for Brian Petsos (MacGruber), who also wrote the screenplay and produced.

Petsos stars as Harry, who returns from an all-night drinking binge to find out his little dog Jolly has been murdered. Mourning the death of his best friend, love and one source of light in his dark, solitary life, Harry vows to track down the dog’s murderer. He arms himself with a stockpile of firepower and, with his cousin Cecil (Oscar Isaac, Sucker Punch), embarks on a frenzied, alcohol-fueled wild-goose chase, leaving a bloody path of destruction in their wake.

Although Petsos isn’t a big name, he attracted other recognizable stars for the movie. As well as Isaac, Kristen Wiig (Bridesmaids), Elijah Wood (The Lord of the Rings movies), Ryan Phillippe (The Lincoln Lawyer), Adam Brody (Seeking a Friend for the End of the World) and Kevin Corrigan (Seven Psychopaths) are also in the cast.

The R-rated movie was directed by feature film first-timer Chadd Harbold, who has partnered with Petsos on shorts.

Revenge for Jolly is a true DVD premiere, with no run in theaters and no appearances in film festivals.

The DVD doesn’t have any special features.
