Awesome contest! I’ve got you “liked” on Facebook. I really enjoy this film as I’m a sci-fi fan and this really got the ball rolling and had quite the influence on the whole sci-fi genre. It just premiered on TCM last night and have to say I haven’t been so excited for something on TV in a long time!
I’ve “shared” or “reposted” the link to this page on my Facebook profile.

Metropolis is a Sci-Fi classic and deserves to be in any serious sci-fi aficionados film collection. From what I’ve seen online the restoration work completed is astounding and it will be great to see this film with the recently discovered additional original footage!

I loved this film and was sad to see it yanked from the public domain. All too often, when a film gets pulled from the public domain it’s for greed… this may be the first time that it actually serves the movie and it’s fans.

Metropolis is one of the few silent movies that remains watchable today! I especially enjoyed the design and architecture of the futuristic city, with the old seedy caves below.
I am Facebook fan of DISC DISH –
I am also a fan of Metropolis, I have seen it in many versions…
I have the 1984 Giorgio Moroder rock music version on VHS
I think this is a powerful movie that is epic in scale, and still has such a relevant and personal message today. The influences of this film on commercials and movies in decades since are also a testament to how excellent this picture was when it first came out and it is still influential today.

I’m already a fan of Disc Dish on Facebook & Twitter. I love Metropolis because it has all of my favorite elements combined. A silent film of science-fiction genre being set in a futuristic dystopian setting is perfect. Metropolis is a beautiful movie, and I would love to view it in high quality image. I have a thing for viewing old silent films at night when everyone’s asleep because night time is the best time to watch old masterpiece sci-fi films like Metropolis.

I am a fan of discdish on facebook.
My favorite thing about Metropolis is the horror elements like Moloch, 7 Deadly Sins and the burning of the android.
both….
I am a fan on both and I posted the contest on Facebook.
I’m a fan on Facebook. I love this film because of the ultra-cool Maria robot design and the modern look of the buildings in the film. Very stylish! I posted a link to this contest on Facebook as well.
I’m following you on twitter (@guettel78) and I am a facebook fan (Geoff K). What I love most about “Metropolis” would have to be its stunning (and eerily timeless) depiction of dystopia and how it melded jarring scenery and music to create a really disconcerting effect. I’m psyched to see this class in high def, and Kino never disappoints with their releases. Thanks for the chance to enter!
