Father Vs. Son movie scene

Screwball shenanigans ensue in Father Vs. Son.

A father and his son fall in love with the same woman in the 2010 independent film Father vs. Son, a screwball comedy.

In his first acting role in feature film, writer Paul Wolff (who has written for TV series including Home Improvement) stars as newly divorced dad Jerry Coletti and Josh Dean (Young People F*cking) portrays his ever-embarrassed son, Grant. The two dudes compete for the affections of a lovely lady named Darlene (Heather Stephens, TV’s The Forgotten). Nutty hijinks ensue…

Co-written and directed by Joe Ballarini (the first movie for him too), the film also features Eric Stonestreet (TV’s Modern Family), Cameron Goodman (TV’s 90210) and Janice Lynde (TV’s Diary of a Single Mom).

Father vs. Son played a slew of regional film festivals around the U.S. throughout 2010, including the Hoboken International Film Festival, the Los Angeles Reel Film Festival and the Big Bear Lake International Film Festival.

Its commercial premiere in the U.S. is on DVD.

The disc includes the following bonus features:

  • commentary
  • deleted scenes
  • outtakes.
