New Release: Twelve Blu-ray and DVD

20th Century Fox Home Entertainment released the drug-fueled, dramatic thriller Twelve on Blu-ray and DVD on Dec. 28, 2010, for the suggested retail prices of $29.99 and $22.98, respectively.

Directed by Joel Schumacher, (St. Elmo’s Fire, Falling Down), the movie focuses on the privileged son of a restaurant tycoon, White Mike (Chace Crawford, TV’s Gossip Girl), who drops out of his Upper East Side prep school to peddle marijuana to his spoiled teenage friends on the party circuit. His drug supplier and friend Lionel (Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, Righteous Kill) introduces him to an exotic new designer drug known as “Twelve,” and Mike struggles to keep his underground lifestyle a secret from his naive friend and confidante, girl-next-door Molly (Emma Roberts, Valentine’s Day).

But when his cousin is mysteriously found dead and Lionel is accused of murder, Mike’s world spirals out of control and the drugs that made him notorious threaten to destroy his life.

Based on the controversial book by Nick McDonnell, Twelve also features Rory Culkin (Scream 4) and Ellen Barkin (Ocean’s 13) and is narrated by Keifer Sutherland (TV’s 24).

Released in a limited number of theaters in August 2010, Twelve barely grossed $100,000 at the domestic box office.
