New Release: Fast Five DVD and Blu-ray

Fast FiveThe fifth movie in the fast cars and crime franchise, Fast Five debuted on DVD and as a Blu-ray/DVD combo on Oct. 4, 2011, from Universal Studios Home Entertainment.

This film reunites Paul Walker (Takers), Vin Diesel (Pitch Black) and Jordana Brewster (TV’s Chuck) reprising their roles from the first and third movies, 2001’s The Fast and the Furious and 2009’s Fast & Furious. Dwayne Johnson (Faster) joins the cast as an FBI agent who’s on the hunt for street racer Diesel and the former cop Walker, who’s now Diesel’s partner in crime. Tyrese Gibson, who joined the franchise in 2003’s 2 Fast 2 Furious, also returns.

The movie grossed a whopping $209 million in theaters in the U.S., proving the franchise is still hot.

  • “Virtual Car Garage” with an up-close look at the film’s cars in 360 degrees plus tech specs
  • “Scene Explorer” with progressions of scenes from storyboard to daily cuts
