Michael Muhney is a self-centered actor in Act Your Age.

The 2009 independent comedy-drama film Act Your Age looks at society’s obsession, and often distate, with the age.

The movie stars Michael Muhney (TV’s Veronica Mars) as Lake, a young theater actor with no respect for the elderly, who’s forced to make himself look old in order to land a part in a Broadway-bound play. After his egotism drives his girlfriend away, Lake begins to do research for the play, which requires him to spend a week in a nursing home. Not surprisingly, the experience compels him to review his life choices and views.

Co-written by Muhney and director Robin Christian (Disconnect), Act Your Age (originally entitled Angst) also stars Adrienne Frantz (TV’s The Bold & the Beautiful), Amber Benson (TV’s Buffy the Vampire Slayer) and Pat Morita (the original The Karate Kid).

The movie won the Audience Choice Award for Best Feature Film at the Breckenridge Festival of Film in Colorado, but it didn’t get a run in theaters, instead premiering on DVD in the U.S.
