And While We Were HereKate Bosworth (Straw Dogs) explores love outside of marriage in the 2012 movie And While We Were Here.

The romantic drama tells the story of Jane, a writer who’s adapting her grandmother’s World War II stories into a book when she goes with her musician husband (Iddo Goldberg, TV’s Secret Diary of a Call Girl) to his concert on a island off the picturesque Amalfi Coast. While there, she stumbles into a passionate and playful affair with a much younger man (Jamie Blackley, Snow White and the Hunstman).

Written and directed by Kat Coiro (Life Happens), R-rated And While We Were Here was only released in a handful of theaters and received tepid reviews from critics and moviegoers: 45% and 42% approval, respectively, according to Rotten Tomatoes. As Arizona Republic‘s Bill Goodykoontz wrote, “And While We Were Here is just good enough to pique your curiosity, but never quite good enough to captivate.”

On the DVD and Blu-ray, the film is available in color as well as the director’s original black-and-white version. The only bonus feature is a trailer.

And While We Were Here was available on instant streaming while the movie was in theaters and before its DVD and Blu-ray debut.
