New Release: The Peacemaker Blu-ray

The Peacemaker movie sceneParamount Home Entertainment released George Clooney-starring action thriller The Peacemaker on Blu-ray on Sept. 21, 2010.

The 1997 movie, which also stars Nicole Kidman (Nine), tells the story of a nuclear specialist Kidman who teams with a Special Forces Colonel (Clooney, The Men Who Stare at Goats) to track down missing warheads, lost after a train crash in the former Soviet Union. To solve the problem, the two must put aside their differences as well as a budding romance.

The film grossed $41 million when it ran in theaters.

The Peacemaker Blu-ray boxThe high-definition Blu-ray disc will have minimal special features, offering just:

  • stunt footage
  • and featurette “From the Cutting Room Floor…”

As well as trailers. All these extras also are on the earlier DVD release of the film.
