Marmaduke movie scene20th Century Fox Home Entertainment brought family comedy Marmaduke out on DVD and Blu-ray quickly. The movie bowed in theaters in June 2010 and was released on DVD and Blu-ray on Aug. 31, 2010.

Starring the voices of Owen Wilson (Marley & Me), George Lopez (The Spy Next Door), Keifer Sutherland (TV’s 24) and The Black Eyed Peas’ Fergie, Marmaduke grossed $33 million at the box office.

Based on the long-running comic strip, the film follows the lovable giant dog as he moves with his family to a new neighborhood and has difficulty fitting in. Along the way, he meets a girl and tries his paws at surfing.

Marmaduke was priced at $29.98 on DVD and includes these special features:

  • deleted scenes
  • “Cowabarka! Surfing Dogs” featurette
  • and “Canine Casting” featurette.

On high-definition, the movie is available as a Blu-ray/DVD combo pack priced at $39.99. It offers the same special features plus:

  • Marmaduke Mayhem! gag reel
  • and Puppy Marmaduke and Kitty Carlos: Home Movies.
