IFC released the erotic drama Room in Rome, which concerns two women who bare their bodies and their souls during one memorable night in Italy, on DVD on Feb. 22, 2011.
Two lovely strangers each on her last night in the Eternal City – a dark-haired Spaniard, Alba (Elena Anaya, Mesrine: Killer Instinct), and a blonde Russian, Natasha (Natasha Yarovenko, Diary of a Nymphomaniac) – meet in a bar.
Alba, who is a lesbian, persuades Natasha, who claims never to have been with a woman, to return with her to her hotel. During the ensuing game of seduction and resistance, the women spin tales about themselves. Alba may or may not be the wife of a Saudi prince; Natasha may or may not be a champion tennis player.
The talk soon leads to passionate bouts of love-making throughout the night, but while the women reveal their bodies to each other, they are more guarded about their true emotions. But the more physically closer they get, the more they reveal to each other their deepest desires and most honest emotions.
Directed by Julio Medem (Sex & Lucia), Room in Rome is reportedly very raw, very emotional, very naked and very sexual. Okay, we’re in!
No bonus features are on the Room in Rome DVD, which carries a list price of $24.98.
