New Release: The Royal Wedding William & Catherine DVD

Royal Wedding DVD boxPrince William and his fiance Kate Middleton tied the knot on April 29, 2011, and fans could watch the ceremony again and again from May 24, when BBC Video released The Royal Wedding: William & Catherine on DVD through Warner Home Video.

The couple got married in England’s famed Westminster Abbey in London, located near the Palace of Westminster. Westminster Abbey is where the coronations of new kings or queens traditionally takes place, and who knows? Maybe Prince William will be there for another reason someday.

The wedding of course was a grand affair, but according to the official website for the royal wedding, here are a few details about the service:

  • the London Chamber Orchestra and trumpeters from the Central Band of the Royal Air Force played, among others
  • the procession went by famous London landmarks,
  • and the reception was held at Buckingham Palace hosted by Queen Elizabeth. Not a bad place for a party.

The DVD includes Kate’s arrival at Westminster Abbey, the ceremony, the carriage procession and the traditional balcony appearance at Buckingham Palace. The disc also has the special feature William & Kate: A Royal Engagement, an exclusive extended 50-minute verion of the documentary about their love story.

Other DVDs are out about the couple and royal weddings.
