Anna Jimskaia enjoys an erotic adventure in Monamour.

Cult Epics/Entertainment One released a special edition of Monamour, the 2006 erotic drama by Italian filmmaker Tinto Brass, on Blu-ray and as a two-disc DVD on July 26, 2011. It carries a list price $39.98.

The movie tells the story of a Venetian girl, Marta (Anna Jimskaia) and a Frenchman, Leon (Riccardo Masina) in the beautiful city of Mantua. Dario (Max Parodi), Marta’s husband is too busy to notice his wive’s sexual drifting, when her adultery “born out of neglect and frustration” starts on the day she meets the enticing Leon in a museum. An intoxicating mix of lies, betrayal and fantasy follows Marta into her personal diary where every emotion and passion is recorded.

Writer/director Brass, who’s best known for co-directing Bob Guccione’s 1979 erotic historical epic Caligula, co-stars in the film, alongside newcomer Angelita Franco.

Cult Epics previously released a single-disc DVD edition of Monamour last year.
