The Ledge movie scene

Liv Tyler and Charlie Hunnam enjoy a tender moment before the thrills begin in The Ledge.

Charlie Hunnam (TV’s Sons of Anarchy), Liv Tyler (Super), Patrick Wilson (Barry Munday) and Terrence Howard (Iron Man) star in The Ledge, a thriller written and directed by Matthew Chapman.

The movie stars Hunnam as Gavin, who embarks on a passionate affair with his evangelical neighbor’s wife (Tyler). Gavin then finds himself in a battle of wills that have life or death consequences. As a nonbeliever, he is lured by his lover’s husband (Wilson) to the ledge of a highrise and told he has one hour to make a choice between his life or the one he loves. Without faith in an afterlife, will he be able to make a decision…?

An edge-of-your-seat-styled independent film reminiscent of an entry in the 1985 Stephen King-penned thriller anthology Cat’s Eye (which was also entitled The Ledge and starred Robert Hays), this 2011 suspense movie received a tiny release to two theaters in early July to generally unenthusiastic reviews. Still, it’s got a nifty little premise.
